I agree that he is wanting to keep his options open. I ended it with my ex over two years ago. We did not live together. He immediately grabbed the first thing he could find (which he admitted) and moved her in. I do not allow him to come to my house and speak to him rarely. I was told by someone that he was going to get married. He was driving in my neighborhood about two weeks ago while I was out walking the dog. He stopped and I, point blank, asked him if he was married because I thought maybe he had already done so…..he was wearing a ring……he told me “no”, that he was not married and said, “You know me, I’m not getting married.”(Now, understand, this was fine with me, I didn’t want to get married, either). I still don’t know the purpose of the ring as his dad told me he was getting married, not had gotten married….and then he added, “maybe he won’t”…….so, why do exes lie?…..well, you have to look at what they are lying about? This guy, was caught in a lie, and that was why I ended it….as to this lie, during the dog walk, I agree with the other opinion, he, in his inflated ego, believes he is leaving his options open……that he might “want” to reconcile with me………..not going to happen.
