Should I Be Concerned About The Way He Treats His Mother?

I have been dating a man for a little over a year now and have some concerns about the way he talks to his mother. He gets easily aggravated at her when she calls and cusses at her. He has never talked to me this way, however I am worried that if he can talk to his own mother this way, he could easily start it with me too. Should I be worried?
Mildly. There may be deep seeded issues with her that you don’t know about, or he may just be rude. Why don’t you ask him. If it is issues he has with his mother than you have little to worry about, but if not than you might want to examine your relationship a little bit closer.

I have two brothers. And my mother always said you can tell how a man will treat you by the way he treats his mother. I agree. Find out if he always treated his mother this way since he was a small boy. If yes, then expect him to become that way with you.
Maybe he had a fall out with his mother before you met him. But still, you never disrepect your parents with a foul mouth. For him to cuss at her is low and why she still continues to speak to him is beyond me. That’s abusive. Did you ever ask him why he treats her that way? Maybe tell him he should show his mother some respect and if he tells you off, then my dear….walk away.
