Well, first of all. I, myself, am in a situation where my older brother likes my best friend. And my brother told me about this in a very mature way. He actually came up to me and told me that he liked my best friend. Not long afterward, my best friend told me that she liked my brother too. So they both asked me for advise on "hooking" them up. And I am still glad to know that they were truthful, and very up-front with me. So now, they both are currently dating and I am totally fine with it.
So my best bet would be telling your sister about your crush before she finds out from someone else. This way she knows that you really care about her best friend and it will be helpful on your behalf. That way she won't be upset with you and things won't be too weird. Again, you should be up-front with her and see if she will help you out as well. Sure it may seem not the right thing to do, but it really helps by being honest with those close to you.

I guess I forgot to point out that she is at my house all the time, and we talk a lot. I don't really see how its possible that she could look at me as her brother without having contact with me. Or maybe I'm just misunderstanding you.
Either way, I really need some good advice.
Thanks.
