I think I like my best friend’s girlfriend!! My best friend has a new girlfriend who he has introduced me to and we have all hung out a couple of times. The problem is I am falling for her and I think she feels the same. We have already hung out twice without my friend! I don’t get a lot of chances for love but I think this is a definite possibility. My question is how do I go after this girl without harming my friendship with my best friend? Or do I just forget about it and be happy for him?
Well if he just started going out with her their relationship is in the formative stages. Why don’t you confirm the girl’s feelings for you as well as her feelings for your friend. Next time you’re alone with her let her know how you feel and see if you can get any information from her. By saying something like, “if you weren’t going out with my best friend, I’d like to go out with you.”. If she really wants to go out with you, she’ll know how you feel. That way she’ll be the “bad guy” if the relationship with your friend ends. Then your friend won’t think you stole his girlfriend. You just might have to wait till their relationship plays out. Also, find out subtly from your friend how much he likes her. If he’s not that crazy about her then it wouldn’t be a big deal if you went out with her.
