How can I make a connection or meeting with a man I know has a lot in common with me when our social paths never cross?

You need to go out of your way to set up an appointment for you to meet. Find a shared interest that you both will enjoy doing together and set up the event. Sometimes you have to be willing to step outside of your comfort zone in order to meet new people.
