He Doesn’t Seem To Know What He Wants

I don’t know what to do, he doesn’t seem to know what he wants! I have been dating this guy on and off for 6 years. We just had a daughter in August and last week he told my dad that he bought me an engagement ring. But 2 days ago when I came home to get some clothes I found him laying on the floor with another girl. Now he is trying to say it wasn’t cheating. He said this because for the last 2 weeks I decided we needed a break. I thought a break was important because we both have some things we need to work on individually. But to me a break did not mean that we would “talk” to other people at this time. What should I do? I love this guy to death, we have a lot of history together and a daughter…

It is hard to get mad at someone when you were not together and you did not set any boundaries. You did not discuss if you should see other people and now that he did you are mad. If you can forgive and forget it may be possible to try things again. If you cannot trust him then that is going to be an issue. Do you really want to marry or be with someone who is going to turn to someone else the second you have a small argument.
