Alcoholics Anonymous Has Made Him Crazy

Alcoholics Anonymous has made my fiance crazy! My fiance joined AA a several months ago. He is doing really well staying sober and I am proud of him. But he has changed. He now thinks EVERYONE who drinks is an alcoholic – even me. I do drink, but not heavily, maybe a couple glasses of wine here and there. I do not mind quitting altogether it’s just that I feel like AA brainwashed him and now I must not drink at all because they have him convinced that all drinking is bad. That is just plain silly – he never complained about me having a glass of wine until recently. Do I conform to his brainwashed idealism??
Short answer, no. He needs to be made aware that his issues aren’t yours or everyone else’s. It is a normal reaction for someone who is doing something that requires effort/involvement to then think he has the right to advise everyone else. Try and support him but do not feel pressured into anything you do want to do.
